Tony Copola is still alive???? He must be 99 years old. I remember
doing a performance of Faust with him at least 30 years ago and he was
not a young man then.

Incidentally, he is a character in one of the godfather movies. He does
not play himself but is portrayed by a child of about 7 or 8. In the
scene, the father is an immigrant grocer who happily shows off his son
to the Godfather. The son plays the flute and is referred to as Anthony
several times. I believe that Tony Copola is the uncle of the director
of all three godfather movies.

He knows his operas.
