I found the material (silver) of the optimum ligature and cap very,
very poor. I bought it directly from Vandoren on a music instrument
fair. I think, after playing with it only one or two times (only
short) there appeard black spots on ligature and cap. After a few
weeks cap and ligature were completely black. In this extreme way this
never happened to me with other silver things.

Since then I only use (again) the Rovner dark and I am happy with
it. I think I don't like metal ligatures. And which is important for
me: only ONE screw.

What is everybodies opinion on the optimum ligature by vandoren for Bb
clarinet?
