Why not flatten that A if it's uncomfortably sharp? All you need to do
is run some hard wax into the hole, perhaps into both that hole and the
G# hole depending on the circumstances -- or use blutak, or something
else.

I'm sure someone has posted here the few small tips that might help you
to do this effectively first time.
