Heard myself saying it just a couple of months ago when Clark Fobes
sent me two of his mouthpieces on trial. Their accurate intonation
across the range of the instrument was almost enough in itself to make
me buy them. What do favorable tone quality, ring, projection, or any
other criteria matter if the stupid thing plays out of tune? Clark's
did not, and they had all those other positive attributes as well. I
bought both of them. Couldn't agree with you more on this fundament-
al point, Howard.
