Just got back from OK Symposium - more on that soon. In the meantime, I
wanted to responde to the question regarding Rossi clarinets.

As with last time I was at OK, I tried out all the clarinets available (and
bass clarinets) - except for the Tom Ridenour, Chinese-built beginner
clarinet. I was particularly anxious to try the Rossis because of the good
reports from others who have tried them.

My reaction:

1. Great sound - especially at softer volumes - a bit spread at loud
volumes.
2. Pitch - they have virtually all of the same issues as the Buffet R-13.
3. Some strange responses to altissimo fingerings - very standard
fingerings - which alarmed me.

Conclusion - I'm happy with the Buffet line.

Best wishes,
Roger Garrett
