Klarinet Archive - Posting 000496.txt from 2001/06
From: Richard White <whitco@-----.net> Subj: [kl] Re: Triplet Notation Date: Sun, 17 Jun 2001 12:47:17 -0400
Since posting the triplet examples I've received quite a few responses.
Thanks to all who have proffered their opinions so far. I've been asked by
some to show the context of the triplet rhythm, so I'm posting an excerpt
of my Desert Music for flute, oboe, clarinet and harp in which it appears.
For those interested, the triplet rhythm in question as it is presently
notated is in bar 18 and can be found at:
http://home.flash.net/~whitco/desertmusic.jpg
or
http://home.flash.net/~whitco/desertmusic.pdf
For those who missed the urls where the original notation options can be
found, they are at:
http://home.flash.net/~whitco/triplets.jpg
or
http://home.flash.net/~whitco/triplets.pdf
I will still post a compilation.
BTW: I did receive a version offered by Richard Yates. It is at:

Let me know what you think.
