Listers -

Sight reading is not my strong suit, but example #5 would not have stopped
me if I ran across it. The others would have.
Maybe my experience as a drummer in my student days would account for my
preference for #5.

Could a composer out there explain why #1 seems to be the consensus choice?
Is it more "musical"?
