Bill, thank you for the info, my A was made in '72. I do have problems getting
the C & C# above the staff to speak as well as the F# and G above that, the
notes above and below these aren't bad. I have been (and possibly rightly so)
attributing this to old flabby chops as I have played only sporadically for the
last 15 years. I will give your suggestion a try and let you know how it pans
out.
