My thoughts are in line with yours. I was by myself in a vehicle when I
heard that program - the first of the two. I really would have preferred
to have someone with me who had no experience with transposing instruments
or with the concept of the clarinet family in order to determine the level
at which his explanation could be understood. I have always tried to do it
with a demonstration.

The second program presented a variety of clarinet and *.* It was heavy on
the Brahms sonatas and it went fast, so it must have been worthwhile.
