Ann,
I apologize, I didn't read your post carefully the first time, you did
state you were having problems with the clarion (as opposed to altissimo)
register on your contra. James M. is correct, the contra-alto clarinet should
play easily in the clarion (mine does). You probably have a sealing problem
somewhere. Sorry about jumping the gun ---- once again I forgot to engage brain
before unleashing fingers.
