Walter,

I appreciate your observation. In my case I do have long fingers, and
despite my pretty good level of technique, once it was pointed out to me the
benefits of curving --especially the pinkie --I noticed just how limited I
have been, and the source of some awkwardness in my facility.

So while I agree with you that everyone is different, I think I would play
better personally if I learned to curve my fingers.
