i use the olivieri reeds on my pyne "pk" bore mouthpiece. Mr pyne
essentially makes all of his mouthpieces save for the bel canto to be used
with olivieri reeds. Well maybe that is an exageration, that kind of profile
works best with his mouthpieces. Anyways, they dont play like they say that
they used to in the "good old days" (i am 18, but have played on vintage
ones) and they require a great deal of breaking in and adjustment, buit when
you make one work, boy do they ever sound good. I find that they produce a
very unique sound, one that you can't really duplicate with any other kind of
reed.
