SYMPA Rules OK.

Hi Em,

Interesting to hear of another Weinberg m/p so soon after putting my own
toes
into the water. Mine is the M1 Gold Mk 11, which maybe a slight update to
yours, if you have had yours for 1 1/2 years. I don`t really positively know
that tho`.
You will have to speak to Anton himself to discover that.

I`m observing however, that you say that you are using Grand Concert reeds,
strength 2 1/2. I`ve just looked up the comparison chart and notice that
they are the equiv.
of Vandoren 3. I have mostly always blown on V 2 1/2 on my B45 spot m/p, but
now find that
2`s are much more responsive with the M1 and I just wonder, (as Anton`s
m/p`s are
designed to be used with softer reeds) whether you might be misunderstanding
what the Weinberg m/p is all about. Please speak to Debbie, ask her to show
you my klarinet
post to her, because I think it would benefit you also for you to have a
chat to Anton. I <would> advise
that if you do both decide to take a trip to Dawkes Music in Maidenhead,
that in view of this furtherance
of your searches for a, let`s say "finer set up", because I cannot tell from
one post what either of you
is really looking for, and this being such a personal thing, that you
<don`t> go together.
You and you alone spend time, with Anton`s help, to discover if at all you
need to change.

Keep posting.

Best Wishes,

Tony W.
