My old teacher used to play on 10-10s and loved them - he thought they were
much more versatile than modern (narrower bore, i think?) clarinets, so your
comments sounded very familiar to me! However i believe opinion is divided
on this. TW Howarth&co (the oboe people) make a proffessional clarinet (that
i adore but can't afford) that I think also has a wider bore or some similar
distinctive feature - i recall being told it was modelled on an 'english'
bore. Am i right, or am i making this up? Is there a link between the two?
