That is a great piece, but is a different one from the version which Ives
played in church. That one was improvised and never written down, so we
don't know how it sounded. However, it's a good guess that some of the
ideas would have been included in the "Variations on America." That work
was originally for organ as well, then transcribed by the composer for
orchestra, and finally transcribed for band by someone else, William
Schuman, I think.
