<squawk!> Hey Richard! I was sitting outside Bil Wright's
window. He has a thing about sphincter control and he makes me stay
outdoors now. <squaaawk!> Anyway, the reason nobody complains is
that all of us are _tired_ _tired_ _tired_ of this sort of stuff. Even
a smooth voiced <squaaaawwwkk!!> mellow fellow like me is forced to
heave a dulcet sigh on occasion. <SQUAWAK!> It just isn't worth the
effort to try to stop this stuff, and nobody has found a method that
succeeds anyway.

The bitter part is that the participants have some educational and
interesting things to say about music. For example, the reason that I
have such a beautiful voice <SKAWAWAAK!> is that I have listened here
and I have learned a few things about music that my teacher didn't have
time to tell me during my weekly voice lesson.

Many of us don't want to drive them away from the list. We decide
to ride it out.

In an audience as large as this list is, I don't think that it's
possible to post messages without aggravating at least one person.
Therefore at least one person on the list is always biting his/her
tongue and keeping his/her frustration to him/herself. It does seem
more difficult to do this on the Internet than when you're talking
face-to-face at a party or a town meeting.

In the meantime, the only thing to do is to look past it and to
propose your own topics of conversation. Just take each person's
idiosyncrasies <SQWEEEAWWAK!> into account and then move on.

Cheers,
Manny
