We have talked about many mouthpieces on the Klarinet List. Jon Manasse
and David Weber both sound absolutely wonderful on the 5 RV Lyre
mouthpieces. I sound like a buzz saw on the B 45. I love Clark Fobes'
new mouthpiece, and I still play my Vandoren 5 RV Lyre sometimes. As
many people have said on this list, everybody can't play on the same
mouthpiece, or "You should be careful about how you speak to your fellow
clarinetists when recommending a mouthpiece, because one clarinetist's
sushi can be another's fishbait" (quotation by my favorite entertainer,
the Reverend Billy C. Wirtz
