Hello, Debbie. You sound like you're knowledgeable already, but
perhaps it won't hurt to repeat the most important of all pieces of
advice:

You must try different manufacturers and different models yourself
because no two people have the same anatomy or musculature or
coordination or preferences. Even when you decide on a particular
manufacturer and model that is best for you, you will find noticeable
differences (sometimes large differences) between two specimens of the
same model and manufacturer. This is why most dealers allow you to
take three mouthpieces at a time on trial, and to return them (for a
nominal service charge) if you don't like them.
