Convex vs. concave. Which? If the latter, I've heard of
some craftsmen putting it there on purpose, the rationale
being that the reed will be seated *more* stably and re-
spond more readily than on a perfectly flat table. Sounds
like we're about to have another mouthpiece discussion on
the list (always a useful thing).
