Oh my - - -. What a small world. You Debbie are in S.E. Surrey. I am based
at the Staines, and S.W. Surrey Music Centres as a SYMPA clarinet & sax.
teacher. I think Huw Craig (brass) was deputy head at your music centre.
Well he`s now my boss at Staines. And you have him of course directing the
County Wind Band.

I only teach Mon. Tues. & Wed. So that gives me time in the rest of the week
to dip my finger into a few other musical pies other than teaching.

Don`t let me put you off posting in here; you may have a go at me just as
much as all the others if you have something with which you disagree with.
Let me tell you that I never did <any> grade exams when I was your age. I
picked up a couple of other items later on, but I wish I had started
properly as a kid.

A bit of advice tho`. Watch Tony Pay and William (Bill) Wright. I think
they`re both up to something which will reveal in the end just how well
conversant they are with the Americanisation of the English language. Tony`s
English, and Bill`s American, (I think). Neither of them are much good on
bass cl, Eb cl. or on sax, so it may be that you`ve come along at the right
time.

So you see, sometimes the chat is not about clarinets <all> the time. When
it`s not, we get reprimanded by a man upstairs with a big stick.

I don`t get involved with S.E. Surrey. A good job I would say, as I would
probably get an even bigger stick if Surrey knew I that I`d asked if you
were looking for a husband. Shhhhhhhh. We won`t mention that any more. Just
to reassure you, I`ve been married for 30 years, ( to the same person).

Enjoy your Summer tour, and all the best luck in the world with your A
levels etc.

Best Wishes,

Tony W.
