The potential seriousness of this kind of attack is that it might very well
have asked the recipient to delete a file that is *critical* to the functioning
of Windows (or any other OS), making it impossible to boot their computer.
That's the nastiness of this kind of approach, that it can be used to con
people into trashing their own system.

Any tag-along virus would simply add insult to injury, though I haven't seen
any reports (except below) that suggest it.
