I'm not sure you'll even find a consensus here about this, much less
agreement. I don't use them because I want any moisture left on the pad
surfaces to dry, and those brushes seem like they'd just hold onto the
moisture longer. This is pure opinion, however, bolstered by nothing but my
mental image of what happens with Pad Savers in the instrument.
