about other list members? Do you have similar experiences with

It certainly sounds to me as if you should be looking elsewhere for
repair service, Dirk.

I've needed adjustments & repairs 3-4 times since I bought my
clarinet. Part of the technician's duty is to spot all the problems
without being asked. You may decide that you want to postpone certain
repairs or adjuistments, but the technician (imo) has a duty to make you
aware of whatever is needed to make the instrument fully functional.

I have no repair skills myself, except I glued a piece of cork onto
my bridge once; but if I understand your description correctly --- that
longer rods in the keywork are visibly twisted or bent --- this sounds
(to me) like an unusually unskilled technician.

Good luck,
Bill
