I started deep water aerobics at the Y because I just couldn't keep up
any longer. I had way too many gigs and students, and not enough time to
"rest", being that I don't like to exert myself too much. I love being
in the water, and I know that it helps my breath control and gives me
extra energy.
Incidentally, I have recently acquired 3 female students who do not
want to participate in band. One of them just auditioned for and got
into the Colorado Springs Youth Wind Symphony. I am thinking of forming
a clarinet quartet (with me playing 4th clarinet) with these young
ladies, and taking them on a "tour" of all the nursing homes in the
Pikes Peak region. My point is that you don't have to be in band. There
are other things to do. ANNIE
