Exactly so. As an engineer I do see this happening. Then the factory line
workers quite cooperating with the engineers. I have always had and
continue to have a great deal of success dealing with people on the line
because I do respect the fact that their jobs are demanding. I also help
them to understand my job's demands by taking time to chit-chat their breaks
with them. For example, they might ask me if I'm going to the basketball
game tonight. I'll tell them that I'm not because I've got to miss it
because I have to catch a flight to the customer's or a supplier's. Not in
a complaining sense of course but that my job requires me to miss some
family and community activities.
