In my opinion, you haven't made much of a distinction beyond saying all
band directors and choir directors teach music performance and it should be
extracurricular (except for "small pockets"). That is what started the
entire thing. In my opinion, your statement demonstrates a very narrow
viewpoint.

Yes they can. But that doesn't negate the importance of the elective class.

I'll let Ed deal with all the other silly statements made - but I don't
want to post any more regarding this issue. It has not changed my
viewpoints at all - in fact, it has strengthened them with regard to what
we are actually up against - even with "educated" people.
