Yes - there is room for both. And if possible, kids should be involved in
both - they shouldn't have to decide between one or the other.
My boys are involved in athletics and music as I was. I was a four-year
letterman in three different sports - Waterpolo, swimming, and track. I
loved it - it also applied to my music/practice. I don't think I would
have developed my playing without those extracurricular activities.
