Repeat - [make] "Band and chorus.... extracurricular activities" is to
remove it from an existing curriculum. Therefore, it is eliminating it
from the curriculum. You did not say CORE curriculum or required
curriculum. Semantics and definitions.

As is the curriculum within the math department, the social studies
department, and every other required curriculum. Teachers make curriculum
- school boards approve or disapprove them.

So do you refute MENC standards Dee? Are you suggesting that your ideas
are more accurate and better researched then those who set MENC standards
and recommendations?

Your initial post spoke of your ideas for change in a global way. That's
why I posted. If you had said, "in this such and such a school district
where the needs are such and such, I believe the local students and parents
would better benefit from such and such........." then it would have made
no difference to me.

I didn't use the word rural. I don't know where that came from.

Teachers make curriculum - school boards approve or disapprove.
