I would think they would be of the greatest use to sax doublers, since the
angle more closely approximates that of a sax mouthpiece. Not that I have
noticed much problem with that myself, except when playing in a pit
recently for "Pajama Game." The quick switch from tenor to clarinet during
the overture always caused a few strange feeling measures before I adapted,
but I think the change of resistance was mostly to blame.
