Mine too. About 6 months ago, I bought my Vito from a young woman whose
parents had bought it used for her some years ago. After graduating high
school, she'd been storing it in the trunk of her car (!!!). The serial
number revealed that it was manufactured in 1971; exactly 30 years ago.

After having the pads replaced and some minor adjustments done, it plays
beautifully. A friend of mine and also a respected expert with mouthpieces,
played my instrument next to a wood Buffet and asked me if I found any
difference in sound. There was none!

Vito clarinets are made to stand up to the punishment a young student can
give. The instruments do that and more, as far as I'm concerned. You can't
go wrong with a Vito. I would personally switch the original mouthpiece to a
Woodwind Company K-10.
