sorry, "forgot" the mouthpiece..: I'd definately switch the original Buffet
or Yamaha mouthpiece with something else. I agree with James (who just
posted) about Vandoren, I think I'd choose Vandoren 5RV Profile or Lyre for
a beginner. They're quite easy to play and give a good sound, which is
important for any newcomer to an instrument (not to be hindered in their
playing by a bad instrument and mouthpiece- reed- setup.)
