Last year's Fest may have had fewer numbers of people present, but I enjoyed
last year's program immensely. I would rather hear any of the big name
folks at ClarinetFest than at any other time because they will most likely
be "up" for the program, being that they are playing for other clarinetists
(big and small).

While I have enjoyed all the years I have attended, last year was most
enjoyable because the program was so varied. There was more than just
clarinet. I liked the ensembles (especially Fernando's) very much and
enjoyed the opportunities to speak "with" those who were presenting. Things
sometimes get to hurried to have anyone really spend time answering
questions.

Last year I met so many new people and they were so friendly. I also always
enjoy the Klarinet get-togethers. And there is nothing stopping any of us
from getting together in the lobby or elsewhere for an impromptu concert of
sorts. If you don't get asked to perform, create your own performance
opportunities.

Incidentally, I just extended my stay until the 20th so I can play in the
festival choir and hear the ending program. I was very sorry to have left
early last year and missed out on Allesandro Carbonare's performance and the
whole last day. I won't make that mistake again. Here's to Sweden 2002.
I've already saved the money.
