Last I heard, Northwestern University had an excellent Music Medicine
clinic. Otherwise, I went to the Mayo Clinic and worked with a doctor
named Alan Bishop. He's an orthopedist who also happens to be the
principal oboist of the Rochester MN symphony. He saved my career. Like
you, I had tendinitis and carpal tunnel, and my arms were bad enough
that I couldn't lift a gallon of milk. I am playing full time, and lift
weights for exercise.
