In the mid 70s, the good professor was here in Hamilton, Ontario to do a radio
broadcast with the Canadian Brass (for whom he has written very funny stuff
including HORNSMOKE!, an opera !!) and spent Sunday afternoon relaxing at our
home. Our 14 year old came in from playing road hockey and looked in on us. I
asked him if he knew who our visitor was.
"Ya," he dismissed, "We took him in school", then went off to the fridge!

Later, I asked PS to autograph our copy of "The Definitive..." He wrote:
For the Paikins---In spite of everything. Prof. Peter Schickele.
We cherish our copy!
