My high school did this show a few years ago, and the bit about flute i nthe
1st book is fairly accurate, I believe. The 4th book, however, is not
terribly clarinet-intesive. There are a couple big parts in both it and the
3rd book, but if I remember cororectly, the big parts are more heavily
thrown into the 3rd book than the 4th. I do remember the 4th having low
parts much of the time. As for oboe-english horn, I believe that these parts
are transposed for clarinet as well in the 3rd book (double staves are
included). As for Eb or C clarinet parts, none of those to worry about. Only
oboe/english horn, and like I said, if I recall correctly, those are also
written out for clarinet. Good luck with the show! I had a lot of fun
playing it!
