I actually used to play on Vandoren V12 5+ (before I switched to Black
Masters); the difference between 5 and 5+ is much less than you might think.
Certainly not nearly as big as 4.5-5, or even 4-4.5. It's probably somewhere
between 1/4 to 1/3 strength. The other strange thing I noticed is that the
5s and 5+s seem to be much more consistent than other strengths. I have no
clue why...
