So what related "defects in workmanship or wood issues" caused my
Selmer 10S to crack after 20 years ? Purchased in 1980, over the years it
travelled to places between South Africa,(hot humid) and Whitehorse in the
NWT (in the winter), which covers temperatures from 100+ to 40 below.
Cracked between the top two tone holes. Don't know how long it had been
there - probably a max of six month's. Didn't affect the blowing or
response. Steve Fox saw it when he was strengthening a spring
