The original poster said that, shifted slightly to one side, the reed
played "really sweet." I take that to mean it did not require further
attention in regard to tone, response, feel, articulation, etc. It played
PERFECTLY when slightly offset, needing no further balancing. To insist
that it must adjusted so it can be symmetrically placed on the mouthpiece
as well is to engage in unnecessary fastidiousness, bordering on the
obsessive-compulsive.
