I'm sure that what Tony meant was that if the reed plays "really sweet" by
simply shifting it slightly, why take the chance of lousing it up by
hacking on it? In other words, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! If
shifting does NOT make it play "really sweet," then go ahead and adjust
until it does.
