Is it a nerves thing!

Subject: [kl] Air leaking out of my nose

I have a problem that is a little bit unusual. I have a solo that I have
performed twice over the last couple of months. I can play it all the way
through (it's 8 pages long) at least twice in a practice session without any

problem. However, when I go to perform it, I can only get through the first

2/3 of it before air leaks out of my nose, causing me to lose all air
pressure behind the mouthpiece. I have checked the archives, but nothing
really applies to my situation, as this isn't a regularly occurring thing.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why I can play just fine at home (as well
as
at long rehearsals) without a problem, but as soon as I go to perform, air
leaks out of my nose? This is a very disturbing problem because it has only

cropped up in the last two performances. I would really like to know how to

fix it because I have to perform this piece again in two weeks. I hope
someone can give me ideas.

Thanks!

Robyn
