Well, I guess I need to know what's what. I'm finalizing a
competition program for a student of mine, and was
considering the Tartini. I'm still waiting for my copy to
arrive. The rules say that a transcription is considered in
the musical history time period of the original piece. So I
was thinking that the Tartini would be baroque. Now I'm not
sure. What do you think? Is it a transcription or an
arrangement in a 20th century style based on tunes of
Tartini?
