I'm a big fan of the new Buffet Instruments... I just like the sound I can
get out of one... Lots of flexibility and color is possible. (The upper
register comes out as easy as on a soprano clarinet, too...) However, some
of the older Selmers are pretty incredible as well...

I've never really liked the LeBlancs (the older ones we had at Eastman
didn't even have a double octabe key so the response was pretty horrid) and
the Yamahas I tried at some music stores and the NAMM convention lacked
focus, projection and much color in the sound.

These are just my opinions...
