I play a clarinet that cracked and has been pinned. Occasionally,
when my teacher demonstrates something on my instrument during a lesson,
she expresses good-natured 'jealousy' that it plays so well.

Of course, not all cracks can be repaired. The same fellow who
pinned my instrument refuses to attempt pinning some cracks.
