Subj: [kl] Poulenc Sonata

While checking my bedside radio alarm a couple of nights ago, I caught the
last movement of the Poulenc sonata and part of the next to last. The
clarinet solo was played by Gary Gray. The section I heard seemed a nice
interpretation, beyond what sounded to me like some rather overly-hard
attacks on some of the notes. (Given that this radio is not of terribly
good quality and isn't connected to an outside antenna, I don't know if my
observation is valid.)

I'm not familiar with the artist, and don't recall seeing his name mentioned
on klarinet while I've been reading. I checked Amazon for the CD. They
list it with the unreasuring advisory that delivery takes 4-6 weeks and
sometimes the publisher is temporarily out of print. Any information about
the artist or this CD? It had several other clarinet/piano works. Is it
worth the annoyance that ordering it will probably take. <g>

Thanks, Jim
