High tones for Saxophone by S. Rasher teaches you to use throat control
to assist in producing altissimo tones on the alto sax. I done
correctly the octave key is not needed, although some of the tones are
out of tune. The same techniques can be employed in attaining high
tones on the clarinet. Example: Try going from high E to high A - with
the same fingering used for the high E. I find I must use the throat
(like singing high falsetto) to get these notes. With the right reed
and mtpc and relaxation the tones will come out without sounding
pinched.

Any other comments about this will be appreciated.
