Anne,

I have been following Noteheads for some time, and have been trying out Igor
Engraver for Windows, both the first and second "Preview Releases" for the
Windows platform. The first thing I recommend is that you subscribe to the
Igor-Talk mailing list, where you can ask questions, get help, complain=
about
bugs, ask for new features, etc. :-) You'll find that you'll get support=
from
both the other users and Ant@-----. I've=
been
posting a lot myself lately.

I like the program a lot, even though my only experience has been with an
*extremely* pre-alpha quality version! The output quality is first-rate, and
the price is right ($0.00)!

My first project has been to create a Bass Clarinet version of the Hindemith
Bassoon Sonata (Hindemith is reputed to have approved of this transcription,
which only involves writing it out in different clefs a tone higher -- Henri
Bok plays it on his "music for bass clarinet and piano" disk.

Hope this helps!
