Subj: [kl] fingering options for . . . and a question about IGOR Engraver

A belated thanks to all who offered valuable - and varied - input following
my posting about LH vs. RH fingerings. They have helped already in my
post-Easter break teaching.

As an epilogue - and totally unrelated - is anyone on the list
familiar with the notation program called Igor Engraver?
A quick archives search yields nothing about it.
I downloaded it from the www.noteheads.com site not long ago and am
having some serious trouble with, of all things, my Office 2001
package (bought for my iMac just
before Xmas), Word in particular. Cannot say for sure if Igor has a
blessed thing to do with it, but a big download like that . . . ? I
was wondering if anyone has experience to share about this program.
My daughter's getting pretty handy with it, but it seems pretty buggy
to me. She's always getting error messages and things have a tendency
to freeze on her.
