I suggest you find some way to address the problem or you may find that you
will eventually have to quit clarinet altogether. It has happened to people
and could happen to you.

One has to get used to a neckstrap. A couple of trials won't do it. Try it
religiously every time you play for a month. You'll find that afterwards
you can tell a significant difference then when you play without it.
Actually the neck strap, once you are used to it, should improve your
playing as it stabilizes the instrument and reduces the tendency to bite
when playing as some players subconsciously do when when playing. The only
drawback I find is that during long rests in the band, I can't lay the
instrument on my lap but instead lean it against my shoulder. It's awkward
at first but after you get uysed to it, it's easy.
