I just played it with the standard fingering mentioned. Using the
alternative F# (F + 'banana key') may be slightly better. The audience
won't notice the G# being dull. It is only a trill. (If you don't like it
give it to a flute or piccolo player!) You are accompanying. The audience
is preoccupied with all those things happening on stage. I've played in 156
show seasons and never ever seen an A clarinet in musical theatre.
