The problem is I don't think the A produces a birdsong like trill. I don't
have an Eb clarinet to play with. I'd be interested in what anyone who has
actually played Oklahoma did. There must be a few people on the list who
have played it.?

Sort of, and maybe that's as good as it gets, but the G# doesn't sound close
enough pitch-wise to my ear and and is very stuffy. Doesn't sound like a
bird call. Maybe there is another trick?
